Make a small ritual of it
Draw one card from your type. Read its invitation, answer the question in a sentence, and try the smallest version of the practice. Revisit it tonight: what changed, if anything?
Take one Notice, one Open, and one Practice card. Read them as a sequence: what’s familiar, what else is possible, and what you’ll try. Finish with one action you can name.
Keep the same card for a week. Notice the pattern for two days, try the practice for three, then review and choose what to carry forward. Repetition is part of the practice.
Invite each person to choose their own type and card. Give two quiet minutes to reflect, then let each person share one observation and one request. Partners can use “Before a conversation” with their own three cards; each person speaks about their own patterns. Offer a pass, avoid assigning types, and close with one agreed next step.
These are original reflection prompts inspired by the Enneagram. Use your own experience to decide what fits. Learn about the nine types ↗
