Look beneath the resemblance

Type 3 & Type 6

Both may be hardworking, responsible, and alert to expectations.

The difference to explore

What is the behavior trying to do?

Three may work to establish value through a successful outcome. Six may work to establish reliability and reduce uncertainty. Ask whether recognition or dependable footing feels more reassuring.

Use an actual moment

Turn recognition into reflection.

Recall one recent moment when you felt defensive or stuck. Which concern was more present: “To feel valuable through what you can accomplish, whether or not others see it.” or “To find trustworthy support and a secure way forward.”? Describe what you wanted to protect before deciding which type fits.

Try this over three days

Before an ordinary deadline, list what a successful outcome would establish. Separate evidence of your personal value from evidence that the plan and support are dependable. Afterward, record which kind of reassurance you still seek.

There is room to remain undecided.

You can relate to both descriptions. Look for the motivation that recurs across settings, and include examples that challenge your first impression. This comparison adds reflection, not a new test score.
